Lottery - did ya win?
no. nor did I- seems to me theyve tweaked a few knobs and in the process completely fucked the odds up, still I'll be buying a couple again this week ;-)
YOUVE GOT TO BE IN IT TO WIN IT

National Lottery jackpot rolled over to £57.8m after record breaking prize goes unclaimed
The prize has rolled over numerous times after new rules reduced the chances of winning from one in 14 million to one in 45 million
The biggest ever Lotto jackpot in UK history has gone unclaimed yet again - meaning it will now roll over to £57.8m on Saturday.

The National Lottery website crashed on Wednesday afternoon as operator Camelot saw an estimated 200 tickets being purchased every second in the hour before sales closed at 7:30pm.

The high prize on offer is a result of 14 consecutive rollovers after new rules introduced in October increased the number of balls in the draw.

The new rules - which increased the number of balls from 49 to 59 - mean your chances of winning have decreased from one 14 million to one in 45 million.

Although the new rules have not been popular with many players Camelot has said it increases the likelihood of winning some of the smaller cash prizes.

But the Lotto can only roll over till it exceeds £50m - meaning this Saturday’s draw will definitely produce a winner.

Re: Lottery - did ya win?
So how do they guarantee a winner? Split the amount with those who get one number off the normal 6?

Re: Lottery - did ya win?
Now they have moved the goalposts and added the amount of numbers the odds have risen 3 fold, the jackpot is very very very hard to win the crafty sods, more money for them to squander.

That's exactly what they do - if no one wins the jackpot they split it up between anyone with 5 and the bonus ball. This makes the odds on winning a decent amount much lower than normal.

I don't play the Lottery. What did they do to decrease the odds of winning by so much?
